Plastiflex has a broad range of technologies that it uses to reduce the carbon foot print of its products making them among the most circular products in the industry.
For example, we have collected end-of-life vacuum cleaner hoses and reprocessed them into new vacuum cleaner hoses with properties comparable to virgin resin based hoses, while reducing GHG emissions by more than 30%!
Furthermore, we have developed second-to-none PCR/PIR based flexible hoses, again with the same properties as their fossil-based virgin counterparts, while also reducing GHG emissions close to 30%!
For the PCR/PIR based solutions, we have upcycled these recyclates (which are based on packaging films with a life span of sometimes only days) to vacuum cleaner hoses that can last for more than 8 years!
With End-of-Life recycling in mind – Plastiflex is working with innovative companies in the plastics recycling industry on the recycling of some of its healthcare products with upcycling as a target!
