Plastiflex Group N.V. (“Plastiflex“, “Plastiflex Group“ or “the Group“) has signed an agreement to acquire R-Vent Medikal ( “R-Vent“ or “the Company“) a leading healthcare company in the respiratory care field
Plastiflex is a world leader in the production of tubing systems and components for medical and industrial applications. R-Vent Medikal is a health care medical device company based in Izmir, Turkey that is specialised in the production of single use breathing systems such as breathing circuits, filters, catheter mounts, closed suction sets and all other accessories for the respiratory care markets with a key focus on the anaesthesia market.
The manufacturing facility in Izmir will become the European healthcare manufacturing hub for the Plastiflex respiratory care business.
As a result of the partnership with R-Vent, the combined Group will offer a broad range of respiratory care solutions such as breathing circuits, catheter mounts, breathing filters, masks, this in addition to the current Plastiflex range of spiral winded tubing solutions. Within the respiratory care market, the Plastiflex & R-Vent combination will have strong positions in the sleep, the ventilation, and the anaesthesia markets.
The Group will have nine manufacturing facilities across the world with 4 dedicated health care operations in North America (Mexico), EMEA (Germany and Turkey) and Asia (China).
Mr Tayfun Önur, one of the shareholders and the current Managing Director of R-Vent remains in place and has re-invested in the Plastiflex Group where he will also assume additional responsibilities.
