Statesville (NC) –February 28th 2018- Plastiflex Group, a leading global manufacturer of flexible plastic hoses with head offices in Paal-Beringen, Belgium, announces an all asset acquisition of Haviland Contoured Plastics (HCP), a sub-division of Haviland Consumer Pool & Spa Products with principle offices located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In this all asset acquisition, Plastiflex North America will assume the production assets and manufacturing responsibility for all Haviland industrial, pool and commercial hoses within North America. The asset transfer will include brands, patents and other IP rights, as well as production equipment, raw materials, inventories and any other related items utilized in the production of Haviland hoses. Haviland will cease production of flexible plastic hoses at its Grand Rapids, Michigan location with all production to be transferred to Plastiflex after a transition period.
As part of this acquisition, and in order to ensure a seamless transition for Haviland Contoured Plastics customers, Plastiflex and Haviland Contoured Plastics have created a new entity HaviFlex.
The former Haviland sales force will assume the role of sales agents for the HaviFlex brand in North America, as they continue to offer their wide product selection.
The asset acquisition of Haviland (HaviFlex) by Plastiflex does not include Haviland Enterprises. Haviland Enterprises, a global leader in industrial and pool chemical manufacturing, will continue to operate as an independent entity with no direct or indirect business relationship to Plastiflex.
