Plastiflex Group N.V., one of the world’s largest producers of flexible plastic hoses, with headquarters in Belgium, is further expanding the production capacity for its healthcare division.
More specifically, we have started to increase the capacity for the production of our healthcare products at our China and USA plants in order to cope with the increased demand for our products.
The increase is a result of a growing market, new business awards and the introduction of new products. Completion of the work is expected for the end of December 2017 and will increase our capacity with more than 50%.
“In 2008, we entered the Respiratory Care market taking our hose manufacturing expertise from our traditional markets into an exciting new direction. We developed a technology platform to produce intelligent Embedded Heated Wire (EHW) tubes for improved humidification in the sleep disorder and ventilation market.
This new technology results in a low compliance, low resistance breathing tube with a better humidification of the patient which explains the increased demand of our breathing tubes,” Plastiflex Health Care Vice President Ronan Horseele commented.
